Meditations

these meditations are all based on the dismantling of the narcissistic ego-based awareness and the transition into unity-based consciousness. these come through rather quickly with very little editing if any. from what i can gather, the concept is to present the rational, logical mind with a series of statements to absorb and ponder which serve to dismantle certain assumptions about the nature of reality that haven't really been carefully considered. when i take inventory of my belief system and put the logic test to many of my assumed beliefs, it astounds me to notice how much of what i acquired as common "truth" doesn't really hold up. what this process has done for me is to open my awareness to a much broader way of seeing things. the meditations are all written in the first person. i find this works better for "speaking" to myself and probably would work better for you too. i plan on recording a number of these in musical environments and offering them for download. i have many of these and i will rotate them intermittently.

but I have learned that everything that is, simply is
I am powerless when I stand against what is
I am empowered when I accept and work with what is

whatever was, no longer is
whatever has yet to be, is not
the past only has power over me if I let it
the future only has power over me if I let it
there is no power in the past, nor in the future
the past and the future are nowhere to be found
the past and the future are fiction
the past and the future are not real
the only experience that is real is the one that I’m having right now-exactly as it is

when I look at a mountain, I accept the way that it is
when I look at a flower, I accept the way that it is
when I look at myself, I don’t always accept the way that I am
I am no different from the mountain or the flower

everything I am, I simply am
there is no alternative to the way that I am
there never was

if I wasn’t intended to be exactly the way that I am, I wouldn’t be
the intention that created me exactly the way that I am is greater than my intention
the intention that created me exactly the way that I am is the same intention that created the entire universe, infinite and eternal
when I take a stance against the way that I am, exactly as I am, I am taking a stance against the entire universe, infinite and eternal
it takes all of creation, infinite and eternal, to create me just as I am

everything that I am, I simply am, and am perfect just the way that I am
if I believe that something is wrong with me, the entire universe, infinite and eternal, will assist me in seeing my illusion by bringing me the gift of suffering
all illusions will bring the gift of suffering
this is how the universe, infinite and eternal, helps me identify my illusions
through the gift of suffering, I have the opportunity to align my beliefs with what is and what I am

everything that is, simply is, and is perfect just the way that it is
everything that I am, I simply am, and am perfect just the way that I am
everyone else is perfect just the way they appear to me

there is no alternative to way they appear to me

everyone is perfect just the way they appear to me
accepting what is, does not render me passive
when I accept what is, I stop fighting what isn’t
when I stop fighting what isn’t,
I free myself to enjoy and appreciate what is
there is endless energy in what is
fighting what isn’t will only, and always, exhaust me
living in the acceptance and appreciation of what is, is freedom

everything is perfect just the way that it is
what is, is infinitely mysterious
what is, is unknowable
what is, is perpetually giving
what is, perpetually gives the experience of the present

the experience of the present is the only way I can embrace what is
in order  to embrace what is, I must constantly let go
to fully embrace what is, I must allow it to completely fill my awareness
if I am holding on to what was, even if it was just a moment ago, I cannot embrace what is
if I am anticipating what will be, even if it just a moment from now, I cannot embrace what is
to embrace what is, I must let go of what is
to embrace what is, I must let go of what was

for so long, I served myself
and what I discovered at the core of myself was god
so in serving myself, I served god
when I recognized god inside myself, I recognized god in everyone else too
now I understand that everything I do for myself I do for everyone else, and everything I do for everyone else, I do for myself
this is the nature of service


the entire universe is the body of god
my body is the body of god
god lives through me
I observe god living through me and call it my experience
my experience is god’s experience
god lives through me whether I understand this or not
now that I understand this, I serve god through the fullness of my experience
this is the nature of service


no matter what I do, god lives through me
I am willed by god to be
my will is god’s will
surrendering myself to god is redundant
surrendering the illusion of myself to the awareness of god is god growing through me
like a flower blossoming, or a tree bearing fruit, god recognizing itself is a natural state in the cycle of my humanity
I am not discovering god, I am merely blossoming into true self-awareness
I am seed, tree, blossom, and fruit
god’s existence through me will nourish those around me and those who continue after I have shed my leaves
this is the nature of service


I have always been here  to serve myself
there is nothing else I can do
my true self is everywhere
now that god has blossomed to recognize itself through me, I no longer am being willed to experience the confusion of not recognizing myself
recognition inspires recognition
and so the illusion of separation between self and other dissolves
this is the nature of service

recognition is sunlight
recognition is rain
recognition is nourishment
recognition is patient
and so the seed planted in the garden becomes the plant, becomes the flower, becomes the fruit, becomes the nourishment
for the seed

and so the seed becomes the gardener
and so
I become the gardener
and so
the gardener becomes me
this is the nature of service

the other

I can never really know you
I can only know my experience of you
my experience occurs completely within myself
my experience is how I experience myself
knowing this, I can only experience you within myself
my experience of you will always be a way that I experience myself
I will never be able to experience you as something outside of myself
because my experience will always occur within myself


I can never really know myself
I can only know my experience of myself
my experience points everywhere
my experience of the entire universe is occurring within me
in this way, I contain the entire universe
I extend to the limits of the universe
and the universe has no limits
I have no limits

I experience you the same way I experience myself
you are an aspect of my experience of myself
you are without limits

my experience seems to be a combination of what is given and what I choose
how I choose to work with what is given is how I give meaning to my experience
I seem to be responsible for how I give meaning to my experience
when the experience of you is given to me, I am responsible for how I give meaning to my experience of you
you are not responsible for giving meaning to my experience of you
my experience of you is all about me
if I experience you in truth and love, my experience of you will be truthful and loving
you will be a reflection of truth and love in my life
if I make you responsible for bringing truth and love into my experience of you, then I will only experience the emptiness and suffering resulting from my lack of responsibility to my experience of you
you are not responsible nor required to be anything for me
I am empowered by my ability to take responsibility for my experience of you
what you choose to do has nothing to do with me
what I choose to do has everything to do with me
what I choose to do with what you choose to do has everything to do with me

I create you, you do not create me
I create myself, you do not create me
we are united within my experience,
my experience is my reflection of me
you are a reflection of me
we are united within my experience
